A free Christmas list for the whole family, without signing up
Everyone’s gift wishes, one link to share, and all the surprises kept until Christmas Eve.

- The desires of the whole family
- No duplicate gifts
- Keep gifts a surprise
A Christmas list, in three stages
Name your list, add your wishes (a pasted link or a written idea), then send the link to loved ones. Neither you nor they need an account.

Everyone’s wishes together before Christmas Eve.
-
Name your list
Enter a name such as ‘Christmas 2026 with the family’, then choose Collaborative list for the whole family or Personal list just for yourself. No email address is required; an optional account mainly helps you find your lists on another device. You can create as many lists as you want.
-
Add your desires
Paste a product link from a shop website: the title, image and price are filled in when the website allows it. Simply write down an idea with no link. Use the Notes field for clothing size, colour or shoe size.
-
Share link
On a phone, the Share button opens the device’s sharing menu (WhatsApp, text message, email); on a computer, it copies the link. Your family and friends enter their first name and reserve gifts without installing anything.
A Christmas list for the whole family
With a collaborative list, each family member has their own Christmas list, and everyone shares the same link. Each adds his/her own wishes and reserves the gifts of others. By default, the application does not show the recipient what is reserved for him/her.
To do this, choose Collaborative list in the creation window.
Everyone knows what would please others, without ruining the magic of Christmas: surprises are discovered at the foot of the tree on December 25.
A list for everyone, shared through one link
Parents, children, uncles and cousins each join the shared space with their first name and fill in their list. No more collecting wishes by SMS and copying them out: everyone can see what is still available to give.
The little ones have their place
Add the child as a member and choose who manages the list, one parent or both. A secret code per member locks the management of the list in the application, so that another member does not inadvertently modify it.
Surprises remain surprises
No reservations appear on your own list; others see what is taken and by whom, unless names are hidden in the settings. An idea your sister has not written down? Add a surprise gift to her list: the family sees it, but the app does not show it to her by default. Grandparents with no wishes of their own join as guests.
Two families, two Christmas celebrations
Join your parents' list and your parents-in-law's list, then use Link a list: your wishes appear on both sides, and a gift reserved in one family appears as ‘Reserved (other list)’ in the other.
Budget for a Christmas list: the actual prices of lists 2025
According to Listopia's Christmas lists for 2025, the median price of a requested gift is 25,99 €, and 60 % of gifts with a stated price cost 30 € or less. The median list contains 8 ideas.
These figures describe users during the 2025 season, not the whole French population. What they suggest for your list:
In Listopia’s 2025 Christmas lists
- The median price of a gift
- 25,99 €
- Gifts for 30 € or less
- 60 %
- The median number per list
- 8 ideas
Aim for 8 to 12 ideas
Half the lists had 8 or fewer; the average (19,0) is pushed up by a few very long lists.
Cover all budgets
above all ideas for 30 € or less, some up to 100 €, one or two beyond.
Suggest giving big gifts together
a loved one starts a gift pot and everyone records a contribution. No payments go through Listopia.
| Gift price | Gift share (Christmas 2025) | From a list of 12 ideas |
|---|---|---|

| €30–€50 | 18 % | about 2 ideas |
| €50–€100 | 13 % | about 2 ideas |
| More than 100 € | 9 % | about 1 idea |
Example of Christmas list based on budgets 2025
For 12 ideas, the 2025 price distribution gives 7 ideas at 30 € or less, 4 between 30 and 100 € and one large gift to give together: here is that example filled in for an adult.
These are suggested price ranges, not recorded prices: use the ideas that appeal to you with the exact link to your chosen product. Prefer to write your list by hand? The paper template also has 12 lines, with one column for size and another for price.
| Idea | To be specified in the notes | Indicative range |
|---|---|---|
| A specific novel or comic book | Title, format | €10–€25 |
| Pyjamas or warm socks | Size, colour | €15–€30 |
| A board game | Name exact, number of players | €20–€30 |
| Your usual skincare product or perfume | Product reference, size or volume | €10–€30 |
| An accessory for a device | Device model | €10–€30 |
| A kitchen utensil | Dimensions, material | €15–€30 |
| Cinema tickets | City or cinema chain | €15–€30 |
| A sweater or scarf | Size, colour | €35–€50 |
| A taster session (climbing, pottery…) | City, slots | €30–€50 |
| Wireless headphones | Phone compatibility | €50–€100 |
| Sports shoes | Shoe size, intended use | €60–€100 |
| A big gift (a bike, weekend away…) | Specific link; pool opened by a close friend | more than 100 € |
Gifts from any website
A Listopia wishlist accepts links from any online shop: Amazon, Fnac, Decathlon, an independent maker, a second-hand listing or your local shop. The title, image and price fill in automatically when the website supports it.
If a website blocks automatic product extraction, Listopia tells you: enter the title and price yourself, and the link stays with the item. An idea can also have no link, such as ‘a guitar lesson’.

Secret Santa: each one his/her own list of wishes
Listopia does not draw names, but it answers the next question: what to give the person you drew. Each participant fills in a list in a shared space, and the person who drew them finds ideas within the budget.
Create a collaborative list (‘Office Secret Santa, 20 €’, for example) and send its link to the group: everyone joins with their first name and writes down a few wishes within the limit.
For children: a parent keeps the list online
A parent keeps the child's Christmas list online and sends it to grandparents, godfather and godmother; the letter to Santa Claus can remain on paper.
For the Saint Nicholas, only one list is enough if the same relatives offer; otherwise, make one separate.

Online Christmas list, paper list or group WhatsApp?
As soon as several people offer to several others, the online list avoids duplication without revealing surprises. The paper list remains the easiest for grandparents without a smartphone, the WhatsApp group for a small circle that is already talking.
| Christmas... | List online Listopia | Paper list | Group WhatsApp |
|---|---|---|---|
| Two people aim for the same gift | A reserved gift cannot be reserved again | Risk if list circulates in copies | Possible if someone forgets to tell the others |
| The surprise for the one who receives | Preserved by default: the app hides reservations from the recipient | Preserved if the list does not get back to the recipient | A group without him, by recipient |
| A wish changes in December | Up to date whenever the link is reopened | The list must be sent again | Message to find |
| Christmas in two families | Two linked lists | One copy per family | One group per family |
| A big gift to give together | Gift pot: pledges recorded, money settled between you | To be organised separately | Calculations in the discussion |
| Grandparents without smartphone | Open the link on a computer, or a loved one reserves for them | The simplest | Cannot be done without WhatsApp |
Christmas Eve dinner: who brings what?
The same idea works for Christmas Eve dishes. With an app such as Kinam, each guest chooses what to bring through a link, without installing the app, and a dish already chosen cannot be chosen again.
Kinam
Available on iOS and Android, Kinam helps organize meals between loved ones: you share a link, and your guests respond and choose their dish without creating an account.
When should you make and share your Christmas list?
